Developing a Policy and Procedures to Combat Violence at Work
The aim of this course is to encourage and enable managers (and others involved) to develop policies and procedures to protect employees from violence.
Policy makers, managers or others involved in the development of the policy on violence e.g. personnel staff, health and safety staff
Management and employee health and safety committee representatives.
The course covers the following topics:
• A definition of violence relevant in their workplace
• The duties of employers in respect of safety from violence at work
• Identification of potential risk within their own organisation
• Policy design
• Development of procedures

By means of a review of the students' own work practices
By use of exercises, handouts and group work etc in an informal setting, either on your premises or in our training room. Each student receives a copy of the textbook and handouts. Our courses are conducted in English, but a range of foreign language papers and work books are available for candidates who would find it easier.

At the end of the course, as part of our quality monitoring procedures and to contribute to the on-going development and improvement of the programme, all delegates will be asked to complete a course evaluation.
