C.I.E.H.: Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace


 

Key personnel in organisations need the skills and knowledge to manage health and safety: simply being aware of and understanding the issues is not enough.
This qualification is designed for those working in any business, regardless of their product or service range.
It is essential for all those who have a role that includes responsibility for the management of health and safety issues, including managers, supervisors and senior safety personnel.

Successful completion of this course will provide trainers with a qualification which meets one of the Institution's criteria for tutors seeking approval to run the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace course

 

Note: This qualification has replaced the Advanced Health and Safety at Work certificate.

Managers, supervisors and senior safety personnel

 

On completing this qualification, candidates will be able to:

The qualification covers the following topics:

Course Duration:

5 days
Candidates must be prepared to undertake assignments in their own time, which will form part of the course assessment.

 

Assessment Method:

Candidates are assessed on the basis of their performance in a 2½ hour examination representing 60% of the final grade and two course assignments representing the remaining 40%. The final pass mark is 60%. Those who gain a mark of 80% or more are awarded a credit certificate

 

Entry Requirements:

Candidates should have completed the C.I.E.H. Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace or similar

 

Qualification:

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
