C.I.E.H.: Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment Principles and Practice


 

Employers and the self employed have a legal duty to assess health and safety risks.
The Risk Assessment: Principles and Practice programme is designed for anyone with a responsibility to conduct risk assessments. It is particularly useful for managers and supervisors but it will be equally beneficial to individual workers, team leaders, technicians, engineers or any other personnel contributing to the risk assessment process.

Who should attend?

Supervisors or managers responsible for conducting risk assessments

 

Course Content:

The qualification covers the following topics:

Course Duration:

One day
Candidates must be prepared to undertake assignments in their own time, which will form part of the course assessment.

 

Assessment Method:

Workplace project which requires the candidate to complete a risk assessment of a chosen area / process, and document it in report format plus a self evaluation

 

Entry Requirements:

Candidates should have completed the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace or similar

 

Qualification:

C.I.E.H. Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment Principles and Practice

 

Suggested progression on completion:

C.I.E.H. Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
